Thanks to Accor ‘Hotel Office’, ‘working from home’ is given an upgrade. We’re seriously considering setting up shop at the Sofitel St James, London but the offer is applicable at a number of the brand’s luxury flagships across Europe and beyond. Which would you choose?
If like us, you are one of the 83% of people that misses going into the office, then our friends at Accor have come up with a canny solution. While the latest government advice is still to “work from home if possible”, the global hotel giant has found a way to offer physically distanced workspaces, with the added perks of a room service lunch and an after-work bar just downstairs (or upstairs, in some cases).
Let’s face it, working from home was fun for a little bit, but Accor’s recent survey shows that people feel that their work-life balance and productivity had worsened since working from home because of Coronavirus. In response, Accor ‘Hotel Office’ is a clever way to offer a safe space (Accor’s ALLSAFE programme ensures stringent cleaning and health standards) to work in a fabulous setting, while being well looked after – amenities included. You can even use the gym or take a swim where available – part way through your day – to keep energised. Plus of course, Accor offers unrivalled flexibility to book whenever there’s the need, even at very short notice.
And if you want to take a leaf out of our book and add some nomadic flavour this autumn and winter, why not head out into the sunshine to work from abroad, while experiencing the glamour of Accor’s luxury properties with a new-found work-leisure balance. With hundreds of Fairmont, Sofitel and MGallery properties to choose from, you’d be spoilt for choice. Danger is, you might never want to return to the office! However, we have learnt that not all Accor luxury hotels will participate, so do check ahead.
