Up in the Swiss Alps, the lesser known Adelboden is as remote as you can get. Talk to Swiss people and you might even get a “Where?” or “Wo?” – it’s three hours from Zurich, a complicated journey – but you can’t expect simple passage through this landscape.
In mountain-goat territory lies this small chalet town that is picture-postcard Swiss Alps – truly breathtaking views, all from the balcony of a room at the Cambrian. On the warmer side of the balcony doors, is a room you would expect, and more from a luxe ski-lodge. Snow-sport is clearly why you’d come here, but we also very quickly found the very zen underground spa and indoor pool.
