We tell its stories from north to south and everywhere in between, and highlight through an OutThere lens its diverse people, passions and places, its legacy of freedom and exciting visions for its future.
Further dialling up the feel-good factor, we skip the border north into the wilds of western Canada to be enfolded by the great outdoors. We return to South Africa to meet two women who are championing nurture in nature in quietly spectacular style. In search of cultural healing, we head to Dresden in Germany and encounter some unexpected depths. We also scout the far reaches of our globetrotting radars on two far-flung islands. In Sumba, Indonesia, we check in at one of the world’s most luxurious tropical resorts for some poignant soul – or rather, foal – searching. Across the Indian Ocean, we helicopter into Nosy Ankao, an island off the coast of Madagascar, to find yet more rarefied adventures and no less lavish comforts.
