A palatial property, the Huacalera was perfectly situated for our exploration of the spectacular sights of the region. The hotel incorporates elements of traditional Andean design throughout. We lazed at the pool at the end of a long day of exploring and watched the hotel’s llamas graze while we sampled locally grown food. Who says ‘authentic’ and ‘luxury’ can’t mix?
