Gozra Lozano
Gozra is a photographer and Creative Director, prolific in Madrid. His latest work DECADEnce was on show in the city at time of press. Having lived with the late Pete Burns of Dead or Alive, he started photographing him and his contemporaries such as Marc Almond, and Boy George among others.
“The art scene in Madrid is fluent and diverse; it’s great to bear witness to an emerging and ever-changing industry, where new approaches are mixed with the traditional, resulting in an eclecticism that has a uniquely Spanish accent. The city has its own way of seeing and celebrating artists, creating a unique atmosphere that translates into a more dynamic and accessible art scene. Madrid is creatively vibrant. Its real lust for life has paved the way for a new-found Bohemianism and the support and outlets for that creativity are visible and at hand, albeit at a much slower, more relaxed pace.”
