Fun, friendly and convenient are the three biggest take aways from our stay here at the Bellora. This is a real hub for fashionable Gothenburgers and as such, it has a buzzing, informal atmosphere. The main draw is the popular lobby restaurant that serves traditional Italian food including delicious, authentic Neapolitan pizzas with sourdough from Sicily. It also has an excellent wine list, perfect for after a day’s sightseeing. The hotel’s restaurant is such a focus, that you would be forgiven for not realising this is actually a hotel as well – especially as they share the same entrance and the reception desk is little more than a kiosk by the lifts. Centrally located in the heart of the city, it also proved to be a great base from which to explore Gothenburg and nearby nature. It is walking distance from all the main points of interest and well serviced by the Gothenburg’s efficient tram services. If you are stuck for ideas, the hotel’s friendly staff are on hand to provide inspiration and genuinely seem to care that you are getting the most out of your stay. The rooms are characterful but on the cosy side to say the least, which is fine for a few days of city break when most of your time will be spent enjoying the many things the city has to offer. In the summer months, you can enjoy a drink on the top-floor terrace with views across Gothenburg’s rooftops.
