You’ll find Berlin’s media and fashion glitterati swanning in and out of the hotel bar in this über-trendy part of town. This punk-chic, catwalk show of a contemporary property admittedly feels much more Hollywood than Berlin, but it does well to capture the excitement and spirit of the city’s vibrant and avant-garde arts, music, and creative scene. No stone is left unturned here as every single piece of the hotel’s furnishings seem custom-designed: perhaps even a little over-done. The guest rooms are impressive and well-designed, somewhat akin to that of a space-age cruise liner – funky, playful and luxurious, although at the expense of a homely atmosphere. But then, who comes to Berlin to feel at home?
